Leona Lewis’ Love Life Turns Ugly

July 9th, 2010 Smooth Jazz Network

Leona Lewis, who shot to fame on the British talent show, The X Factor, is learning about the dark side of success. Last month, she broke up with her longtime boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa, citing the difficulties of having a relationship and a hot career; now he’s asking for $2.25 million.

Britain’s The Sun reports that the two had dated for a decade, and that Al-Chamaa credits himself with some of her success.  A source is quoted as saying, “They have been together for more than ten years and he has encouraged her to fulfill her potential. He believes he has the rights of a common-law husband.

He even filled in her X Factor application form and …claims he owns a piece of some of her songs and should benefit financially.”

The “Bleeding Love” singer reportedly offered him their $900,000 home in London and was turned down.
