The latest sales chart for Contemporary Jazz CD’s has been released, and trumpeter Chris Botti stays in the number 1 spot with his latest CD “Chris Botti: In Boston”. The live concert CD has now been on the chart for 17 weeks and has sold almost 125,000 copies.

Making a very strong debut this week is another trumpeter, Rick Braun, as he jumps into the chart at number 2 in his first week out with the new CD “All It Takes”.

Also making a debut is the group Streetwize with their CD “Put U to Bed”, on the chart at number 8.

The latest Boney James CD “Send One Your Love” moves up to number 3 this week. The CD has now sold over 55,000 copies and has been on the chart for exactly 6 months.

Vanessa Williams hangs in the top group with her new release, “The Real Thing”, while saxophonist Paul Taylor stays in the top 5 in his second week with a new CD, “Burnin’”.

The remaining spots in the top 10 are filled out by CD’s from Ski Johnson, Bernie Williams, Paul Hardcastle, and The Rippingtons.
