Darren Rahn Visits Smooth Jazz Top 20Smooth jazz saxophonist Darren Rahn recently stopped by the Smooth Jazz Network studios to talk about his current release Talk of the Town. Rahn’s CD features the Smooth Jazz Top 20 hit single of the same name.

Smooth Jazz Top 20 host Allen Kepler, who is also president of the Smooth Jazz Network and Broadcast Architecture, spent some quality time with Rahn as they shared stories about the smooth jazz format and how it has embraced Rahn’s solo music as well as his production, songwriting and composing skills. In 2008 and 2009, Rahn had a hand in three Smooth Jazz Top 20 No. 1 songs in a row. He produced and performed on Tim Bowman’s “Sweet Sundays,” produced and mixed Dave Koz’s “Life in the Fast Lane,” and co-wrote and mixed Eric Darius’ “Goin’ All Out.”

The Smooth Jazz Network’s programming is heard weekly on more than 45 radio stations across the US, Canada, India, Trinidad and the Philippines. Kepler is the host of two weekly radio shows, the Smooth Jazz Weekend and the popular Smooth Jazz Top 20 Countdown. Both are produced by Broadcast Architecture, the world’s leading smooth jazz programming, research and consulting firm for more than 20 years.
