Smooth Jazz Saxophonist Euge Groove Celebrating His Birthday Today

Euge GrooveToday (November 27th), saxophonist Euge Groove will be celebrating his 47th birthday.  Euge, whose given name is Steven Eugene Grove, was born in Hagerstown, MD. He became a session player and was heard worldwide in 1987 on the #1 song by the group Expose called “Seasons Change.” After several years touring with Tower of Power, Richard Marx, Joe Cocker and Huey Lewis and the News, Euge gained attention in 1999 when his song “Romeo + Juliet” became one of the most downloaded songs on a music Web site.

Euge’s current album, Sunday Morning, features the Smooth Jazz Top 20 single of the same name. It’s his follow-up to Born 2 Groove, which featured the smooth jazz hits “Mr. Groove,” “Religify,” “Born 2 Groove” and “Slow Jam.”

Euge now lives in Southern California with his wife of 20 years, Bane, and they have three children: 19-year-old Dax, 18-year-old Canyon and 12-year-old Lilah Belle.
