Happy Birthday To Bob Baldwin, Who Finishes Michael Jackson Project
Today (December 9th), smooth jazz keyboardist Bob Baldwin celebrates his 49th birthday and has some exciting news to share. He has announced that he has finished a CD that he calls his Michael Jackson Project.
“It’s been on-again-off-again since 2000, when I recorded ‘Never Can Say Goodbye’ with Chuck Loeb,” writes Baldwin on his website. “Michael Jackson is such an incredible artist and his just-due is deserved, despite his quirky lifestyle.”
Born in Mount Vernon, NY, Baldwin grew up in a musical family. He released his debut album in 1990, Rejoice, on Atlantic Records. Since then he has released 10 other CDs, including Brazil Chill in 2004 and All in a Days’ Work in 2005.
In 2007, Baldwin released a DVD titled Memoirs From the Hudson, which featured live music recorded in May of 2005 at a smooth jazz festival at Croton Point Park in Croton, NY. This past June, he released a CD titled Lookin’ Back that celebrated 20 years of making music.
