Flamenco guitarist Ottmar Liebert has just completed a new CD with three other musicians and he’s making his fans an offer they can’t refuse: He is releasing it as a free download. The CD, Under the Rose, features Liebert along with Rahim Alhaj from Iraq on the oud guitar, Jon Gagan on bass and keyboards and Barrett Martin on drums and percussion. The 10 songs are each collaboratively composed by the four players.

Anyone can download the CD and accompanying artwork for free, but Liebert and his band are asking those who can to make a tax-deductible contribution to an organization called Direct Aid Iraq. All proceeds from this CD will be donated to Direct Aid Iraq in support of its efforts to restore hope for the tens of thousands of Iraqi children whose lives have been devastated by violence, whether through the loss of home or family or through injury and disability.
