Alicia Keys today (December 15) releases her highly anticipated new CD, The Element of Freedom, which features the Smooth Jazz Top 20 hit single “Doesn’t Mean Anything.” The 14-song CD also features her hit with Jay-Z, “Empire State of Mind,” and a duet with Beyonce titled “Put It in a Love Song.”

According to a review in USA Today: “As usual, love is the overarching theme, but Freedom is more nuanced and intimate than previous albums … Freedom marks not so much a departure for Keys as it does the evolution of an artist still seeking higher ground.”

The new CD is Keys’ first since As I Am, which debuted at the top of Billboard pop chart and featured the Smooth Jazz Network hit single “No One.” The Grammy Award-winning singer’s previous projects were Songs In A Minor, Diary of Alicia Keys, and Unplugged.

Keys will be appearing tonight on The Colbert Report, Wednesday (December 16) on The View and Friday (December 18) on Late Show With David Letterman.
