Lawson Rollins Returns With Follow-Up To “Infinita”
Guitarist Lawson Rollins today (January 19th) releases a new CD titled Espirito. His debut CD, released in 2008, was titled Infinita and featured the smooth jazz hit single of the same name.
Rollins is a classically trained guitarist who blends jazz with world music. He worked on Espirito with Persian-American musician and producer Shahin Shahida of the group Shahin & Sepehr, and producer Dominc Camardella, who has collaborated with Ottmar Liebert.
Espirito features 12 original songs written by Lawson, including the title track and “Rumba del Sol,” “Moonlight Samba,” “Return to Rio” and “Blue Mountain Bolero,” among others.
