Kyle Eastwood, Tom Scott And Michael Paulo Celebrating Birthdays
Musicians Kyle Eastwood, Tom Scott and Michael Paulo are all celebrating their birthdays today (May 19).
Eastwood is 42. In 2006, he released Now, which featured the smooth jazz single of the same name. Eastwood grew up in Carmel, CA, as the son of legendary actor and American icon Clint Eastwood, who himself is a huge jazz fan. In addition to his albums – including his latest, Metropolitan – Eastwood has composed music for movies directed by his father, including Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Flags of Our Fathers, The Changeling and Letters from Iwo Jima.
Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Scott, known for his work with the L.A. Express, is 62. He grew up in a musical family where his father, Nathan Scott, wrote music for classic TV shows. Scott also has written music for TV as well, including such shows as Family Ties, Baretta and Starsky and Hutch. Today, Scott has released more than 25 solo albums and has logged more than 500 dates as a session saxophonist for many popular artists such as Paul McCartney, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Steely Dan.
Saxophonist Paulo, who recorded four CDs with the Hawaiian band Kalapana before moving to Los Angeles in 1981 to pursue a solo career, is 54. He has since performed with a long list of artists, including Peter White, Al Jarreau, Rick Braun, Kenny Loggins, Jeff Lorber and Bobby Caldwell. Paulo lives in Southern California’s Riverside County and has released six solo CDs.
