Diana Krall to Play Free Concert Next Week

After nearly five years away from concert stages, Diana Krall is set to return with a new tour in celebration and in support of her new album, Quiet Nights.
Her tour began on March 19th and the album will be released on March 31st.
As part of her tour the Canadian pianist, top selling jazz vocalist, and Grammy Award winner, will stop by New York City to perform selections from her new album at a free lunchtime concert (1:00–1:30 pm) at the World Financial Center - Winter Garden in downtown Manhattan on March 31st.
For this rare concert, she will perform with her quartet (including Anthony Wilson, Jeff Hamilton and Robert Hurst) and a 32-piece orchestra conducted by Alan Broadbent.
This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
From Krall’s refreshing version of “Where or When”, to an utterly soul-stirring rendition of “You’re My Thrill” the ten songs on Quiet Nights are disarming in their intimacy, as the music pushes unabashedly into the realm of sweet surrender. As Krall puts it, “It’s a sensual, downright erotic record, and it’s intended to be that way.”
On the remainder of the Diana Krall “Quiet Nights” World Tour, two dollars from every ticket sold be proudly donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s “The Heart Truth” campaign.
