News

Aaron Neville has a lot to celebrate this week -- he releases his newest album My True Story, his first for Blue Note Records today (January 22) and will celebrate his birthday on Thursday, January 24.  The Grammy winning singer worked with legendary producer Don Was and Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, who co-produced the set.  On My True Story, Aaron revisits some of his favorite doo-wop songs, classics from groups like The Drifters ("Under The Boardwalk," "This Magic Moment") and Little Anthony and the Imperials ("Tears on My Pillow").  Aaron says, "Anything I do has got some doo-wop in it.  It's just part of me-it's the texture that I'm singing in, it's the endings, it's the harmonies."  You can catch him performing on The Today Show on January 23 and on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on January 29.  He'll be on tour beginning in February and will head to his hometown of New Orleans, LA to join the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on May 5.
