Chaka Khan Wows on 'American Idol', Will Peform at Apollo Theater Gala

Chaka Khan took to the American Idol stage in a brown catsuit last night for the Season 11 finale, singing "I'm Every Woman" with the top 10 women finalists.  When asked on the red carpet prior to the show if she'd be willing to take the judges seat if Jennifer Lopez decides not to return next year, she told Zap2It, "Yeah, I'd do it.  They could use some truth up there.  A little bit of truth, honesty.  I'd like that."  Meanwhile, Khan will be performing a tribute to Whitney Houston at the upcoming Apollo Theater Gala on June 4 in Harlem, New York.  The Apollo is inducting Lionel Richie and the late Etta James into their Hall of Fame.  Soul Train founder Don Cornelius and songwriter Nick Ashford are also being honored posthumously.
