Daryl Hall Gets DIY Network Show

News

Singer-songwriter Daryl Hall, of Hall & Oates fame, is joining the DIY Network to host his own home improvement show called "The Daryl Hall Project."  Hall is a pro at restoring historic homes having completed a 1790-built Georgian estate in London, a 1662-built house in Kittery, Maine and his 248-acre estate Flint Hill in Dutchess County, New York.  For the DIY show he plans to tackle a 1-bedroom 1700s Connecticut farm house that was originally built by a widowed sea captain.  The challenges he'll face are to meld a historically accurate restoration with the mandates of modernity and small town regulations.  Hall says his role in restoration projects is that of producer and creative director, doing all the drawings, designing and aesthetic work.  He'll work with an architect on engineering and logistics.  "The Daryl Hall Project" will debut on the DIY Network next year.  Meanwhile, you can catch Hall & Oates out on tour, including a show tonight (May 3) in Memphis, TN and Sunday (May 5) at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.  Check out a full list of Hall & Oates tour dates here.
