Happy Birthday Babyface

Birthday wishes to Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds who celebrates today (April 10).  Edmonds was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and began writing songs when he was a youth to express himself.  He started performing as a teenager with funk artist Bootsy Collins, who gave him his nickname 'Babyface'.  In 1989, Edmonds co-founded LaFace Records with L.A. Reid.  They went on to sign TLC, Usher and Toni Braxton, among other successful artists.  Babyface has worked with many A-list performers throughout his career including Whitney Houston, Boyz II Men, Madonna, Eric Clapton, Brandy and Mary J. Blige.  He is currently working as a mentor to Cee Lo Green's team on the hit television show The Voice.  He is also in the studio working on his tenth studio album.
