Birthday wishes to Grammy Award-winning guitarist-singer-songwriter Boz Scaggs who celebrates tomorrow (June 8).  Born William Royce Scaggs in Canton, OH he moved to Oklahoma and then to Texas with his family.  He attended a private school in Dallas where he was given the nickname "Bosley," later shortened to "Boz."  He picked up the guitar when he was 13 and joined with fellow classmate Steve Miller to sing in Miller's band the Marksman in 1959.  Boz had his breakout success in 1976 with his album Silk Degrees which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 200 and contained his hits "Lowdown," "Lido Shuffle" and "We're All Alone."  Boz just released his latest album Memphis in March, recorded at the famed Royal Studios in Memphis.  He's performing for his birthday tomorrow night in Coquitlam, Canada, then heads to Portland, OR and Sacramento, CA next week.  Check out the full list of Boz's tour dates here.
