Saxophonist-singer Jessy J is set to release her new album entitled Second Chances on September 10 via Shanachie Records.  She worked with keyboardist-producer Jeff Lorber, Grammy Award-winning guitarist Norman Brown and bassist Jimmy Haslip from The Yellowjackets on the project.  In addition, pianist Joe Sample co-wrote a track with Jessy called "Mambo Gumbo," a tune she says has a New Orleans vibe to it.  Jessy shares that Second Chances developed out of the theme that it's never too late to try again.  Several of the songs on the set include "two" in the title including the first single "Listen 2 The Groove" co-written by Lorber, "Tango for Two," "Dos," "Twice" and "Double Trouble."  Jessy also included her version of the Sergio Mendes classic "Magdalenha," which she says is one of her favorite tracks on the album.  Jessy heads to London for several shows this weekend and will be on tour in the U.S. later this month including a stop in Orlando, FL.  Check out her video for her single "Listen 2 The Groove" here.
