Lionel Richie will be presented with the NARM "Chairman's Award for Sustained Creative Achievement" at the Music Biz 2012 Awards on May 10 in Los Angeles.  "Lionel Richie has been a force in the music business for more than four decades and is still going strong today, a remarkable feat that grows increasingly rare each year," NARM Pres. JIM DONIO said. "Like the music industry itself, he has shown remarkable resilience in the face of countless challenges, and has maintained his artistic integrity and relevance through it all."  Meanwhile, the Academy of Country Music will present "Lionel Richie and Friends -- In Concert” tonight (April 13) on CBS-TV.  The show will feature the music from his latest album, Tuskegee, which offers collaborations of Richie's biggest hits with Country stars like Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker, The Band Perry, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw and Lady Antebellum, among others.
