Lisa Stansfield working on new Album and Movie

British singer-songwriter, Lisa Stansfield announced she's working on a new album after a lengthy hiatus from making music.  Her last project was The Moment, released in 2004.  Best known for her international hit "All Around The World," Stansfield was a successful pop star in the 1990's selling over 20 million albums.  She tells Britain's Sunday Mirror, "It's been a very long time. I've been busy doing things behind the scenes, but I can confirm I'm finally back in the studio.  I'm a singer and I'm ready to get back to doing my thing. I guess you just hope that there's still a demand. I'm wanting to do an album that will make a real statement. It's time for a return."  In addition to working on the new album, Lisa is also starring in a new film called Northern Soul, about two northern British lads whose lives are changed forever when they discover American Soul music in the '70s. She will play the mum of one of the boys, while actor Christian McKay will play her husband.  The film is tentatively scheduled for a Spring 2013 release.
