Mariah Carey in running for 'American Idol' Judge Seat

Big changes are coming to 'American Idol' Season 12 as the Los Angeles Times is reporting that Steven Tyler is departing the show and Jennifer Lopez is not far behind.  Several artists are being considered to fill Lopez's spot including Mariah Carey, Fergie and former Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert.  According to US Weekly, Mariah has expressed interest in becoming a member of the panel dating back to the 2010 season.  E! News reported at that time, "[Mariah] wants it.  She's seen what 'America's Got Talent' has done for [husband Nick Cannon] and she thinks it will be a good career move."  Carey is currently working on her next album due out later this year.
