Motown Hits Broadway |

Motown Records founder, Berry Gordy is taking his life story and that of the music that defined Motown Records to Broadway. Motown: The Musical is set to open in the spring of 2013 and will feature the music of stars like Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five and The Temptations. Gordy will produce the new musical, along with Broadway veteran Kevin McCollum (Rent, In the Heights) and Sony Music exec Doug Morris. Stage and screen vet Charles Randolph-Wright is slated to direct.
