'Sparkle' Soundtrack due July 31 |

The film Sparkle, starring Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks, is due out in theaters on August 17 but the highly anticipated motion picture soundtrack drops on July 31 via RCA Records. Sparkle was Whitney's final project before her untimely death on February 11, 2012 from an accidental drowning. The film stars Houston as the mother of three daughters in a singing group - one of whom is Sparkle, the title character played by Sparks. RCA has released the first single from the album, the duet "Celebrate" featuring Houston and Sparks, produced by R. Kelly. Houston's gospel track "His Eye is on the Sparrow" will also be released as a single. The 13-song soundtrack features music from the original 1976 film including "I'm a Man," "Hooked on Your Love" and "Look Into Your Heart" and will feature the films stars Jordin Sparks and Cee Lo Green, in addition to Houston.
