The blockbuster film The Hunger Games, features a new song from Sting called "Deep in the Meadow (Lullaby)." Fans who purchase the soundtrack album, The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond, can go to www.thehungergamesmovie.com/lullaby to receive the track as a free download. The track can also be purchased as a single from major digital retailers. "Lullaby" is a centerpiece throughout The Hunger Games. In the story, the protagonist Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) learns the song from her father who sang it to her as a child. Keeping the tradition, Katniss sings it to her little sister Primrose, to calm her fears. The song is produced by singer-songwriter and producer T-Bone Burnett. The Lionsgate film opened with an impressive $155 million in the U.S. this weekend, the third-best debut of all time and the best for any film opening outside of summer. Sting is wrapping up the current leg of his Back to Bass tour with shows in Cape Town, South Africa tonight and tomorrow (March 28).
