Toni Braxton Retiring from Music to Focus on Acting Career

Feb 14 2013

Toni Braxton has announced she's retiring from music to focus on her acting career. The six-time Grammy winner told Good Morning America, “I’m not sure what’s going on in my life. Maybe a female mid-life crisis? My heart isn’t in it anymore. I hate to say that.”  She went on to say that she still loves to sing but, “I’m just not going to do any albums anymore; maybe touring occasionally here and there because I love performing, but not as much as I did in the past. But no new projects.” Lately, she's been focusing her energy on her acting career. Her hit reality television show Braxton Family Values returns on March 14 with the premiere of Season 3. She also starred in the Lifetime television movie Twist of Faith which aired on February 9. Fans can catch Toni performing a special Valentine's Day show tonight at the San Manuel Indian Casino in Highland, CA.
