Tony Bennett's Duets II Is #1 |
| Sep 28 2011 |

Tony Bennett is enjoying his first number one album, as Duets II debuts on the Billboard 200 this week according to Nielsen Soundscan. Celebrating his 85th birthday last month, he's also the oldest living artist to hit the Billboard Hot 100 chart with the single "Body and Soul," featuring Amy Winehouse. Mr. Bennett sat down with Allen Kepler and talked about recording with so many talented young artists, the American Idol experience, as well as recording with Amy Winehouse - and his decision to donate a portion of the proceeds to help prevent addiction. A segment of the interview will be featured on the Smooth Jazz Top 20 Countdown with Allen Kepler this weekend. "Don't Get Around Much Anymore", Bennett's duet with Michael Buble hit number 20 on the Smooth Jazz Chart this week. The young at heart performer will be in London for a show on October 3.
