Vanessa Williams Celebrates Big Day and New Book

Birthday wishes to Vanessa Williams who celebrates her big day this Sunday, March 18.  Vanessa was born in Tarrytown, New York and attended Syracuse University.  She interrupted her studies during her sophomore year when she was named Miss America 1984.  She released her debut album, The Right Stuff, in 1988 and has appeared in numerous movies, Broadway productions and most recently, the television shows Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives.  The singer, actress, dancer and model can now add author to her resume as well.  Her new book, You Have No Idea, co-written with her mother Helen Williams, will be in stores on April 17.
